Added an Authors@R field to DESCRIPTION (replacing the old Author/
Maintainer fields), as requested by CRAN following a change in their
incoming checks.
tca() now fixes the sign of each computed axis instead of leaving it to
whatever an underlying eigen/SVD-type step happens to return. Axis
row/column scores are only ever defined up to a sign, and different
BLAS/LAPACK backends (e.g. BLIS vs reference BLAS) can legitimately return
either sign for the same axis; this had no effect on the correctness of
results but made them depend on the platform's linear algebra backend,
which CRAN's additional BLIS checks flagged as test failures. tca() now
makes the largest-magnitude entry (row or column) of each axis positive,
a convention that does not depend on whether the input matrix was
transposed internally.
Note for existing users: since the previous sign for a given axis was
arbitrary (backend-dependent), this change may flip the displayed sign of
some axes compared to earlier versions/sessions. This does not change any
distances, dispersions, or the interpretation of tca() results (Taxicab
correspondence analysis axes are sign-invariant) — only which direction is
plotted/printed as positive.
